A Little About Me...

“Take time to do what makes your soul happy!” – Author unknown

Being creative and seeing my designs come to life just feels like it’s a part of me. From a young age I remember sitting outside at recess making friendship bracelets. My how that feels like eons ago! I remember taking a safety pin and knotting the embroidery thread to the end of it and pinning it to the knee of my jeans so I could sit there and knot away. I also remember making little pins with beads and trying to sell them to make a little extra money.
In my mid teens I remember taking little trips to White Rose with my mom. It was my favorite place to be!! I remember being in complete awe of the ceramic Christmas houses, and ornaments. I remember spending hours trying to get all of the details just right. I must admit I found it a little daunting, but still loved the final product.

As a youngster I would go to craft shows with my mother, and I was just so overwhelmed by the possibility of being able to sell the things I loved to make. I took the plunge and I had a table at the Woodstock Christmas Craft Show two seasons in a row.

Creating really became a passion for me in my early twenties. I feel like I can almost pin point the exact moment that it became my world. I was invited to go to a Stampin Up party with my Aunt. I was so thrilled to see all of the different stamps, and techniques. It was like I was just introduced to a whole new world of possibilities and creations.
So I started out doing a lot of scrapbooking for myself, but as I got to love the product more and more I decided to become a Stampin Up Rep. I learned very quickly that I just loved creating, and even though doing parties was very time consuming I just loved making all of the samples and cutting paper for hours and hours. I did this for just over two years, when I decided that I wanted to do more than just Stampin Up.

In 2009 I met my wonderful boyfriend Greg. After being together for a while I learned that he knew how to sew, and sew quite well! He told me that his Grandmother always thought that all little boys should know how to do all the things that all little girls should know how to do. Thanks to his patience and support this is now one of my favorite things to do and the main part of my business.

In 2011 I decided that I wanted to give the Craft Show thing a try again and since then I have had the most exciting years of my life! I am constantly thinking of new designs and creations. I love being able to put my creativity to work, and be able to share that with others. Through this I have met so many wonderful people that have become such a huge part of my life.

I hope to continue on this creative journey, and I just can’t wait to see where it brings me.
