Where did January go?

Wow it’s February all ready! Where has the time gone!? Am I the only one that feels this way? I can’t be!

So as I look back at this past month, and the beginning of 2022 I am feeling hopeful and optimistic about what this year will bring.  I ALWAY crave some type of change in the month of January, as well as the urge to purge, clean and reorganize. I am not sure why this is. I was not always this way. I sometimes wonder if it is because I have more time on my hands, or that I get to choose how I spend my time. This can be a blessing and a curse LOL! Although I choose to look at it as a blessing!

So how did I spend my January, well the first two weeks I went through all of my scrap fabric, purged and donated what no longer was something that really spoke to me. I cleaned and reorganized by studio, and office. And also cleaned organized and purged the basement, and my closet. It always feels so good to do this and have everything back in it’s place. I often feel like after the fall/winter shows, and Christmas that every room in the house is a disaster (which it isn’t), but so much feels out of place. I really think it is good for the mind to make a point of doing this. I just seem to be ahead of the game when it comes to this. Not quite spring cleaning for me, more like mid winter cleaning.

It also feels great to get my books out of the way. This has been something that I have been trying to stay on top of. One of my least favourite jobs for sure, but it has to be done. So I always aim every year now to have my part of this done by the second week of January at the latest! That way my brain seems less cluttered with the things that I ‘have’ to get done, and leaves me more space for the things I want to do.

And of course I spent time trying to come up with new designs for my Spring/Summer 2022 collections. I always find this a little tough this time of year.  With all of the snow, and how cold it has been really doesn’t help to inspire me that much. So I started out this year with creating the Glitter and Grace Collection. I am so excited for this as it is a collection that I plan to continue adding to throughout this spring and summer season. With everything we have been going through a little glitter and grace never hurt anyone… right?! So far this new collection is a combination of glittery faux druzy earrings, hearts, and beautiful new semi precious stone bracelets. All of these pieces are in beautiful soft graceful tones that I hope you will love as much as I do! Creating these pieces has also helped to inspire me with the clothing designs for this coming spring! I cannot wait to show glimpses as I work away at this new collection for you!

Wishing you all a beautiful start to this month of LOVE! And if you didn’t catch my recent post on Instagram or Facebook, ALL jewelry is now available for FREE SHIPPING anywhere in Canada. Thank you for continuing to support my small business, and my dreams!

Stay Safe, Happy and Healthy!
